Pair face punishing schedule
Mendip Triathlon Club members Michelle Blackmore and Julian Coles faced the gruelling task of completing two races in three days over the new year.
The duo tackled the 10km Stoke Stampede on December 30, with Coles recording 47mins 27secs on his debut over the distance. Blackmore was not far behind, clocking 48:33.
On New Year's Day, the pair moved onto the Weston Hangover, which was contested over the same distance. The windy conditions failed to prevent Coles beating his time from two days earlier, coming home in 45:24. Blackmore could not match her previous effort but still recorded an impressive 49:08.
