Online sales for city stores
Independent retailers are invited to a presentation today by local company MyHigh.st offering a new opportunity to join an online group to promote their products and sales.
Although the service has no joining fee and will not charge set-up or running costs, participants will be charged a commission by the company.
Tim Lewis from MyHigh.st said: "MyHigh.st will give shoppers a real alternative to Amazon, letting them browse and buy online from shops they trust and people they know."
The website, which was developed by local entrepreneurs including Loaye Agabani of Junior toys in Wells, will go live in June. The service will first be offered in Wells and Castle Cary before being rolled out nationwide.
