Johnson's team head to Boundary Park with just goal difference keeping them out of the play-offs and the boss said playing without pressure will be important in extending a run of five straight wins.

"We have got two away games now, both good games because I have got fond memories of playing away at Oldham and I have always had fond memories of playing away at Coventry for some reason, we got some good results there," said former Bristol City chief Johnson.

"Coventry are going well but Oldham not so well. We have got to go and produce our form and make sure we come away with a result or two.

"We were talking about let the footballer in you make the decisions like when you were a kid. When you felt you could make the goal you had a shot. I thought that was exactly what I was looking at against Brentford."

The Glovers 3-0 demolition of the Bees reaffirmed Johnson's belief that the play-offs are a realistic goal for his team.

He said: "I have believed it for a while and feel that we are on the verge of something. I felt that there was a change in confidence in the lads.

"I feel that we have put round legs in round holes. I have said that and since we haven't lost so I am either a witch or a good judge."

Middlesbrough loanee Matt Dolan could be a doubt to face Oldham after limping off in the first half against Brentford. The midfielder turned his ankle on the rutted Huish Park surface.
