It’s award time in Cheddar so who do you think should be person of the year?
Cheddar Parish Council wants to recognise an individual person who has contributed to the community over the past year, nominated by someone who really feels they know a person who has made a difference in the village.

This award is now in its third year and the chairman of the parish council will present the award at the annual parish meeting on April 24.
The award is in the form of a small gift and certificate to recognise the nominee’s contribution to the community.

The nominator is asked to write a short piece to explain their nomination and to find a seconder. If they can also suggest an appropriate gift that is helpful.
So if you know someone who is the backbone of a club or organisation, or who has helped others in someway, or provided any other service that deserves our recognition, then get a nomination form from the parish clerk on 01934 743217 or email Clerk@CheddarParishCouncil.org.
