"I have been extremely impressed by the coaching staff, especially head coach Brad Hepi.

"The facilities available are amongst the best in the British Isles and I can't wait to start the Championship 1 season."

All Golds head coach Hepi added: "Nico has come from a good environment.

"He is a fine athlete who can cover many positions and will be an asset to the All Golds in the forthcoming season."

During his time at Exeter, Flanaghan also captained the South of England rugby league squad and played for England students in 2010 and 2011.

The All Golds joined Championship 1 last May and are based at, and run by, the University of Gloucestershire but are open to players from around the country.

The team benefit from close links with Super League and World Club champions Leeds Rhinos, who have actively developed the sport in the South West in recent years.

The All Golds get their Championship 1 season under way against Oxford in Cheltenham on Good Friday, March 29.
