Newly-wed pilots choose a cruise for honeymoon
A Stoke St Michael couple who found love in the skies have tied the knot – but they won't be jetting off on a honeymoon.
Instead, Emma Hull and Paul Rhodes, who are both pilots, are taking a break from flying and going on a Mediterranean cruise instead.

The couple met 10 years ago in 2000 when Emma decided to take flying lessons and Paul became her instructor.
Over the six months it took Emma to learn to fly and gain her private pilot's licence, the romance began to blossom. Emma said: "It was a gradual thing and by the time I got my licence Paul, who is an airline pilot, had asked me out on a date, and that's where it all began."
The couple got engaged in June last year after Paul proposed at the Ston Easton Hotel.
They were married at Ashwick Church on Saturday, August 7, with their four-year-old daughter, Sophie, as one of the bridesmaids.
The pair were surrounded by all their family including Emma's parents, David Hull and Angela Plummer, and Paul's mother, Kate Bouverie-Brine, along with lots of their pilot friends.
They held their reception in a marquee in the garden of their home and Emma's uncle, John Hull, took to the skies with his motorised glider and performed a special fly past.
Emma said: "It was a wonderful day and made all the more special by the fly past. Everyone had a fantastic time and we were surrounded by lots of family and friends."
Emma wore an ivory dress made of Italian silk and French lace and carried a bouquet of pink avalanche rose and hydrangeas.
She was attended by their daughter, Sophie, Paul's sister, Helen Rhodes, her sister, Kimberley Plummer, and her best friend Kelly Coombs.
The best men were Paul's good friends Colin James and Tiff Pike.
The ushers were Tim Tuckey and Yannick Thielin.
The pair regularly go flying together and often jump in their light aircraft, with their daughter, to go on holiday.
Emma added: "We've flown to Scotland, Ireland the Isle of Man on holiday and Sophie sits in the back – she loves it."
The couple set off on honeymoon on a Mediterranean cruise.
Emma said: "We've decided to go on a cruise to give ourselves a break from flying."
Emma now plans to find a job as an airline pilot after gaining her commercial pilot licence.
