New signing Jamie Beasley in Taunton Town squad for Merthyr Town trip
Struggling Taunton Town will be looking to end a run of three successive defeats when they play away to third-placed Merthyr Town in Division One South and West of the Evo-Stik Southern League tonight.
The Somerset side have only two more points than bottom side Bishop’s Cleeve who have played fewer games.
Former Weymouth and Poole Town striker Jamie Beasley, who signed for Taunton at the end of last week, is included in their squad although he missed the 2-1 defeat at Yate with tonsillitis.
Young front wide-man Jamie Short is also back in the squad after returning from holiday.

Taunton boss Leigh Robinson said: “The last three away games have summed up our season. On the balance of chances we have been worth a point in all three but through missed chances and one moment of not concentrating in each game we’ve got no points.
“We’ve also used 20 players in the last three matches due to injury and unavailability which is again indicative of our season. It makes it so hard to go away from home and be resilient when we have to make this many changes.”
Taunton Town (away v Merthyr Tydfil, from): Fisher, Mammola, Jeannin, Irish, Gerring, Rogers, Pepperell, Badavi, Ingram, Kingston, Marsh, Plant, Herrod, Short, Cliff-Brown, Blake, Beasley, Robertson.
Bishop’s Cleeve play at Cinderford tonight, while Yate bid to continue their climb up the table at home to North Leigh.
Shortwood United go to Wimborne, while sixth-placed Paulton Rovers face a key match away at fifth-placed Tiverton.
