New look planned for historic Frome pub The Archangel
The Archangel in Frome is set to close for four weeks next month for a major refurbishment.
The bar and dining areas will be given a whole new look as part of the redesign.
Landlord, Luke Richards, said: "The bar will be moving as the logistics of the current layout are not very well planned.
"We are moving the bar into the current restaurant area downstairs and there will be an informal area where people can sit and enjoy all day dining."

There are also plans to create another more formal dining space in the library and mezzanine level where people can enjoy fine dining and a tasting menu.
A new chef is also being appointed who will create a new menu to complement the new look.
The Archangel is steeped in history having first been recorded as an inn in 1311. In medieval times it was a coaching in known as The Angel, and the exterior with its white painted brick, the shingled roof top, and dark paned glass windows has changed very little since the 18th century.
Since then it has undergone many refurbishments, the most recent just five years ago in 2008 when it changed its name to The Archangel. The Archangel will close on March 4 and until March 28.
