CAMERTON Community Centre hosted the first of a series of New Orleans style jazz nights and all those present hailed it a great success.

Those present were transported back to the American dance halls of early 1900s Louisiana.

The night offered avid viewers of Strictly Come Dancing the chance to take to the floor themselves.

The organisers hope that as news of the regular jazz evenings spreads, more people will come along.

The next session will be on Friday, November 21, from 8pm to 11pm.

The band is the Bristol Bobcats and tickets cost £5.
