Neighbourhood safety main priority at PACT meeting
Street residents have the chance to help shape the future of policing in their area.
Police officers are staging a Partners And Communities Together (PACT) meeting at the Victoria Club next Thursday at 7pm.

A PACT spokesman said it was a chance for the public to say how their neighbourhood could be improved.
"Whatever problems you think need tackling to make your area feel safer, whatever the issue, from noise to graffiti, street lighting to anti-social behaviour, make sure you have your say at the PACT meeting," he said.
"You will speak directly with a panel of decision-makers from the police, council and key local agencies who will put together an action plan to address the top three issues agreed by the community.
"The aim of Partners And Communities Together is to build trust and confidence by dealing with those issues that have the most impact. It involves communities and partners working together to bring about change by identifying and meeting the communities' needs."
The meeting will also look at progress made on the priorities raised at the last meeting – anti-social behaviour at Merriman Gardens, the reinstatement of traffic lights at Westway and traffic problems in Leigh Road.
