CLEVEDON has a rare opportunity to experience the exceptional musical talents of Mike Bullock at Campbell's Landing on Sunday, March 28.

The performer will be able to hear songs from his first album Laughing Out Loud and a selection of top covers during the pub's weekly Sunday Session event.

Mike, who played in various covers bands in Yorkshire until 1995, moved to the south west and co-formed Kick The Cat in early 1996 playing bass guitar and after a few years began performing acoustic covers gigs with Graham Nicholls from Fatman Swings around 2001. He then joined the well-known local rock ensemble Trouble n Strife in 2002 as lead vocalist after being spotted singing at an acoustic open-mic night.

Mike, influenced by artists such as The Beatles, Elbow, Crowded House, Squeeze, and Bowie, finally began to write his own lyrics in 2008 writing 'Seize The Day', an up-tempo, positive, love song, and later 'Invisible' which was inspired by the literary genius of Ian McEwan has now completed around 20 plus songs in 18 months.

Two years after it's beginning, this fantastic album, Laughing Out Loud was completed and on its first day it featured on MySpace received 1,300 hits which included a host of rave reviews from the US.

On Sunday Mike will be backed by a blend of perfect harmonies and backing vocals from Su Lowe of the soul funk band JellyPhish, technically brilliant Bass played by Alex Pearson from the increasingly popular Ouija Birds and top percussion by John Furlong from the ever popular band Flash Harry.
