Murder victim charity aim moves forward
THE foundation set up in the name of murdered Chard student Catherine Wells-Burr has taken another big step towards becoming a registered charity.
A golf day held at the Windwhistle Golf Club on Saturday raised more than £3,500 and the family behind the charity has thanked the local community for their support.
Jayne Wells-Burr said: "Thank you to all our sponsors and prize donations and to everyone who support us.
"Thank you also to Liam at the Windwhistle Golf Club and Ron for the music and laughter in the evening. We are truly overwhelmed by the generosity given to the foundation.
"We all had a very lovely day.
"We are now in the process of applying to the charities commission in next few weeks for registration for Caf's charity."
