"A friend suggested I start writing a food blog to share my experiences when I began meal planning as a way to reduce our weekly food budget and our food waste, and it's grown from there.
"It's wonderful to know that people enjoy reading what I write, and I'm really excited about attending the awards ceremony in the autumn."
Blog readers around the UK are invited to vote for their favourite blogs at www.the-mads.com. The winners will be announced at a gala awards ceremony in London in September. Voting closes at 5pm on Wednesday, June 6.
Founder of the MAD Blog Awards Sally Whittle said: "Parent blogging is such an exciting phenomenon, providing parents up and down the country with an opportunity to support one another online, be creative, and make some extra money, and there are some truly brilliant blogs in this community.
"We were absolutely thrilled by the quality of the blogs entered into the awards this year, and are really excited to see what happens next."
