Mr Moustache's Movember 'tache
WELLS vet Greg Elliott-Moustache is growing his namesake this month for Movember.
Mr Moustache shaved his face on October 31 and will be growing a moustache for the entirety of November to raise money for prostate and testicular cancer initiatives.
He said: “It’s my first time. I’ve always wanted to do it and with my name it’s a must and felt like now is the right time.
“People at the vets have been quite supportive and wanted to get behind my cause.”
When asked about the current stage of his moustache on Monday, Mr Moustache said: “It’s alright. It’s slow growth at the moment but I’m only four days in.”
Mr Moustache said he has never grown a full moustache before. He said: “I usually have a bit of facial hair but never just a moustache.”
Mr Moustache, who lives in Wells, said he is growing his moustache to increase the profile of animal health, as well as raise money for charity. He said: “It’s a good idea to use this to raise awareness of canine prostate cancer, in dogs. The main reason Movember is for is in men but where we work it’s in dogs.”
