Mountain bikes worth £12,000 stolen from Weston-super-Mare rider's home
Four mountain bikes worth around £12,000 have been stolen from a home in Weston-super-Mare.
An outbuilding at a home in Worlebury Hill Road was broken into and four bicycles stolen from inside, police said.
The theft was discovered at 8am yesterday morning, and is believed to have taken place at some point in the previous 48 hours.
One of the bikes stolen was a Ridley Dean time trial bike with Campagnolo Boro wheels which is valued at £5,000. It is very distinctive and is one of only 25 in the country.

The other bikes are a Trek Fuel Ex 9.9 mountain bike with Grey Fox forks and hand-built wheels on Chris King Hubs, a Giant Anthem X2 Mountain Bike (large size), and a Giant Anthem X4 Mountain Bike (medium build).
Detective Constable Steve Bark said: "These bikes are very important to the owner who has spent a lot of time and money acquiring and customising them.
"He is now unable to ride the bikes he loves and is facing substantial inconvenience trying to replace them.
"These bikes are very distinctive and I hope someone will recognise them. Please look out for them and if you are offered elite bikes for sale at very low prices or in suspicious circumstances please call the police straight away."
