Motorists boost Somerset A303 improvement bid
Motorists and businesses using major roads in south Somerset have said improvements to the A303 will benefit the area.
Two surveys to help bolster a pitch to Government for a multi-million upgrade of Somerset roads received more than 1,300 replies.
Somerset County Council cabinet member for economic development David Hall said: "I was delighted with the level of interest in the two surveys. Such a large response to both will give us invaluable evidence when we take the case for funding."
The responses will be analysed and form part of the business case for dualling single carriageway stretches of the A303 and A358.
