Mixed results in Las Vegas
Radstock darts star Steve Grubb finished two wins away from earning a place in the Las Vegas Desert Classic earlier this week.
The landlord of the Lamb Inn at Clandown travelled to Las Vegas to compete in the Desert Classic as well as the Las Vegas Players Championship.

With only 32 players allowed in to the main draw of the Desert Classic, Grubb had two chances to qualify for the event, but lost 5-2 to Steve Beaton in the first round of his first attempt on Sunday.
However, he came back the next day bidding to claim one of the six remaining qualifying places and got off to a confident start, beating Simon Craven 5-0 in the opening round.
He backed that up with a 5-1 win over Nikash Patel in the second round.
The third round saw a more tense affair, but Grubb held his nerve to overcome Martyn Turner 5-4 and guarantee at least £250 in prize money.
Needing two more wins to book his place in the Desert Classic, Grubb lost a tight fourth-round encounter 5-4 against Mark Lawrence.
Grubb returned to the Mandalay Resort and Casino on Tuesday to take part in the Las Vegas Players Championship and, following a bye through the first round, he defeated Mark Stephenson 6-5 to reach the third round.
However, he fell to a 6-2 defeat against Wayne Mardle in the next round and had to settle for a prize of £200.
