Millfield hosts junior Games
Up and coming sports stars from across Somerset are getting ready for the county's own competitions, just weeks before the Olympics.
More than 3,000 pupils are set to compete in the Somerset School Games across 20 different sports at Millfield from July 6-9.
The festival is one of more than 60 regional School Games events that are taking place across the country this summer and are encouraging more young people to participate in competitive school sport.
Emma Wilkes, Somerset organising committee chair, said: "In this very special year for sport we are absolutely delighted to be part of the School Games, which will give young people in our region an opportunity to showcase their sporting talent.
