Midsomer Norton doctor Elizabeth Hersch spends day with medics
Midsomer Norton doctor Elizabeth Hersch was full of praise for her frontline NHS colleagues after spending a day with paramedics based at Paulton.
The GP, a partner at St Chad's Surgery, joined paramedics Jane Wheatley and Teona Hann in the back of their ambulance as they responded to 999 calls and routine visits from Weston-super-Mare to Warminster.
Dr Hersch is urgent care lead on the board of the Bath and North East Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group and was keen to see how GPs and paramedics work alongside each other.
She said: "For me it was about what it was like at the sharp end of medicine and how we can improve the way work together for the good of the patient.
