She added a second shortly afterwards with a strike from the top of the D to make the score 2-0 at half-time.
Mids continued the second half in the same vein and quick passing down the right ended with Vowles completing her hat-trick after a cross from Nicole French.
Donna Philips made it four with a reverse stick sweep before French displayed some good skills to create her own confidently-taken goal following a long ball from Hollie Smith, who had a strong game at left-back.
Another cross from the right allowed Vowles to net her fourth before Phillips completed the scoring with a well-executed strike into the corner.
Knowle had some good moments and looked dangerous on the break, narrowly missing the goal on several occasions.
Under the watchful eye of coaches Andy Rogers and Steve Dowden, Mids now top the division on goal difference from three other teams.
Man of the match: Kirsten Vowles.
