Meeting over battle to save in-patient beds at Shepton Mallet Community Hospital
NHS chiefs will come face-to-face with campaigners battling to save the in-patient beds at Shepton Mallet Community Hospital today.
A meeting is being held to explain how health services will be affected by NHS reforms.
The meeting, called Changes for the NHS? Changes for Shepton Mallet? has been arranged by a string of health bodies and comes as fears over the community hospital’s future stem from proposed NHS reforms.
The meeting is being held at the Mendip District Council offices from 7pm to 9pm.
