Medieval combat comes to Bishop's Palace in Wells
THE Medieval Combat Society is coming to the Bishop’s Palace in Wells, on Sunday, from 11am to 4pm.
They will provide authentic, entertaining and educational, medieval tournaments, archery and dancing.
Knights in plate and chain armour face each other in foot combat with a variety of weaponry.
Visitors will be able to learn about the archers skills of the hundred years war and enjoy the medieval dancing display, set to a backdrop of Medieval tents.

The Medieval Combat Society was founded in 1970 by a group of enthusiastic people who wanted to enjoy fighting and re-enacting the medieval period to raise money for charity. The society is a non-profit making society run by the members for fun and enjoyment and dedicated to the safe re-enactment of medieval combat and recreation of life in the 14th century during the period of King Edward III of England.
