A new boutique has opened on Catherine Hill with the ribbon cutting performed by Frome's mayor Pippa Goldfinger.

Sisters Guild was launched online two years ago by sisters Carla de Reyes Mezbur and Rebekka McCarthy to offer interior pieces, imaginative items for play, unique clothing and unusual gifts.

Both mothers, the sisters said they have a mutual passion for great design and an imaginative childhood brought them together to create the boutique.

Mrs de Reyes Mezbur said: "We created Sisters Guild as a place that celebrates child, home and mama.

"We seek out the one-offs, the unique and quirky, the handmade, gifts designed with that extra thought and imaginative detail, things that are made with longevity in mind, those cherished pieces that are handed down from one generation to the next."

The pair grew up in Somerset and said they fondly remember Frome as a place to seek out something different.

Mrs McCarthy said: "We know that bringing all these collections together in one place is going to be magical.

"And it's the kind of magic that many local people and visitors to Frome will appreciate."
