Matthew's American dreams
A Gloucester cyclist hopes to become the youngest Briton to cycle the width of America competitively.
Matthew Stevens, 17, pictured, is training hard to take part in the gruelling Race Across America, which sees cyclists pedal from California to Maryland.

But Matthew wants to cycle competitively, which means he will have to cycle the width of America in 10 days. To do this he will have to ride for 22 hours a day for the 10-day duration.
"If I do it I'll be absolutely ecstatic," said Matthew, who lives in The Chase, Abbeydale.
