Matthew Neilsen takes up youth coaching role at Frome Cricket Club
Frome Cricket Club have appointed a new head coach for their youth section.
Matthew Neilsen is taking up the role immediately and has wasted no time in setting up a training course, which gets under way next week.
The former Frome CC player started his coaching career at Beckington CC, where he will continue to work, and is particularly passionate about coaching young players.
He will be tasked with the job of developing the U11, U13 and U15 sides at Frome, as well as the wider coaching set-up.

Nielsen's winter youth training course begins on Friday, January 11, from 6-7pm at Writhlington Sports Centre and runs for ten weeks.
Frome CC enjoyed one of its most successful seasons in 2012, with the 1st XI finishing fourth in WEPL Somerset Division and the 2nd XI holding on to their place in Division 4 of the Somerset Cricket League.
The 1st XI begin the 2013 season with a trip to Uphill Castle on May 4, while the 2nd XI start at home to East Coker 1st XI on the same day.
