Pupils of Vallis First School, Frome, have put their creative caps on to make masks as part of a maths project.

Don Newton, of Rough Magic, was invited into the school and encouraged parents and children to get creative with the materials he supplied.

Teacher Rosemary Brown said: "This very enjoyable and creative session launched a maths-focused family learning project which will take place each Monday for the next 10 weeks.

"Children will improve their maths with the help of their parents who will update their skills in order to support their child."
