Man wanted after Help for Heroes collection box is stolen from post office

Police are appealing for help after a man walked into a rural Somerset post office and stole a Help for Heroes charity collection box.

Officers said a man walked into the post office at Rode, near Frome, at around 1pm on Friday afternoon and took the charity cash.

"CCTV has been examined and a man has been identified who was in the area and might have information which helps the investigation," said an Avon and Somerset Police spokesman.

Anyone who recognises the man pictured, or the man himself, should call PC Steve Hubbard on 101, or via Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
