Man taken to hospital after four-vehicle crash near Yeovil

A man was taken to hospital this morning after he was involved in a four-vehicle crash near Yeovil.

The road traffic collision happened on the A37 Roman Road, near Chilthorne Domer, at around 7.55am.

    ROAD CRASH: One man was takent to hospital this morning after a four-vehicle road colllision near Yeovil.

Two ambulance crews and police attended the scene and a man was taken to Yeovil District Hospital with back pains. His injuries are not thought to be serious.

Devon and Somerset Fire Service were called to help clear up diesel from the road.

A spokesman said: “Fire crews confirmed a road traffic collision involving four vehicles. All persons were free and clear of the vehicles upon the arrival of the fire Service. One casualty was conveyed to hospital by ambulance, a second casualty was tended to by ambulance crews on scene.

“Fire crews made the vehicles safe and mopped up petrol leaked onto the roadway. The incident was left in the hands of police and ambulance.”
