Man stole from elderly Yeovil woman who invited him into her home
Police are searching a man who talked his way into an 84-year-old woman's Yeovil home and stole her handbag.
The woman saw a man in her garden, on Ilchester Road, around 5pm on Saturday and opened her back door to ask what he was doing there.
He told her he has being chased and had jumped into her garden to escape.
She let him walk through her house from the back to the front door. She later found her handbag had been stolen from the kitchen.

Police have warned people, particularly the elderly, not to open their doors to uninvited callers or to allow strangers into their home
The man, who was last seen walking along Ilchester Road in the direction of the Picketty Witch pub, is described as white, 5ft 4ins tall, in his late teens, of athletic build with short mousy-coloured straight hair combed back. He was wearing brown trousers and a light-coloured top.
