A man stabbed himself in the chest while inside a Weston-super-Mare medical surgery.
Emergency teams were called at just before 11.15am yesterday to Stafford Place Medical Surgery after reports a man in his 40s had stabbed himself in the chest.

The man was treated at the scene before being taken to the Bristol Royal Infirmary by ambulance
Paramedics and a rapid response crew were on the scene within minutes and the Great Western Air Ambulance – carrying critical care paramedics – was also called.
The Boulevard had to be shut off to allow the helicopter to land.
