Man dies after Land Rover found on roof in rhyne near Rooksbridge

A man has died after a Land Rover ended up on its roof in a rhyne near Rooksbridge in the early hours of this morning.

Police were called to the rhyne, off Pill Road, at around 1.40am.

Officers believe the man, believed to be in his 30s, was one of three people who were in the Land Rover Discovery.

He was treated at the scene, but later died.

Avon and Somerset Police's collision investigation unit is appealing for information from anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or from anyone who saw a Land Rover Discovery in the area.
