Man in critical condition in hospital after late night Bridgwater assault
A man is in a critical condition in hospital following an assault in Bridgwater last night.
The victim was attacked by someone who got out of a silver car at around 11.30pm at Friarn Lawn, police said.

The man was taken to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol, where he remains in a critical condition.
Avon and Somerset Police have launched an investigation into the incident, and have appealed for the public's help to track down whoever is responsible.

Officers said the victim had been with friends in the Green Dragon and Three Lions pubs that evening, and had been assaulted during his short walk home.
Police want to hear from anyone with any information, or who may have seen a silver car in the area around the time of the assault.
