Man calls for help after Shepton Mallet home floods
An elderly man was forced to call fire crews after the ground foor of his house in Shepton Mallet became flooded this morning.
A further crew with salvage equipment had to be requested to tackle the six inches of water at the house in Old Wells Road. The man called for help at around 7am.

A pump was used to remove the floodwater into a drain at the front of the property.
Crews also had to clear a blocked culvert outside.
