Man awaits sentencing for harassing woman
A MAN due to be sentenced for an allegation of harassment and motoring offences has had his case adjourned for a pre sentence report to be prepared.
Peter Andrew May, aged 45, of West Woodland Caravan Site, Frome, appeared in the dock before Somerset Magistrates, sitting at Yeovil.
He pleaded guilty at a previous court hearing to pursuing a course of conduct amounting to the harassment of Cecilia Adams at Benedict Street in Glastonbury on February 13 in that he attended her address four times being abusive, threatening and breaking a window.
He also admitted riding a motorcycle on the A361 and A362 at Frome on July 30 while exceeding the 60mph speed limit and without insurance.
Probation officer Steve Cox said that May was unable to attend his probation appointment due to work commitments and had now been given a second date.
The magistrates agreed to adjourn the case until Tuesday October 15 for a report to be completed and was bailed on condition he does not contact Cecelia Adams and one other named witness.
