Man admits threat to blow up camper van during Olympic torch relay in Taunton
A man has admitted threatening to blow up his camper van to disrupt the Olympic torch relay in Taunton.
Darren Cole, 40, of no fixed abode, appeared at Taunton Magistrates Court today.
The court was told that Cole phoned a journalist at The Sun on May 20 and threatened to blow up his camper van when the Olympic Flame passed through the Somerset town.
His lawyer told the court that Cole had never intended to carry out the threat.

The case was adjourned for psychiatric reports to be prepared, and Cole was remanded in custody until June 29.
