A man has pleaded guilty after being found smoking drugs in Glastonbury.

20-year-old Liam Smith from Algar Court, Parsons Way, Wells pleaded guilty to possession of 2.3 grams of cannabis before magistrates in Frome.

Smith was caught after police approached a parked vehicle in Glastonbury on June 24, 2010 after suspecting the occupants were smoking the drug.

Smith was fined £135. £85 court costs and a £15 victim surcharge were also added to the fine.

The court heard that he had received a caution for a similar offence just six months earlier.
