A police negotiator is at the scene talking to the man, who police say has an "issue with a matrimonial problem".
Yesterday the motorway was closed in both directions during the afternoon rush hour due to a similar incident.
It is understood that the man involved in this evening's incident is a different man to yesterday.
UPDATE 8PM: M32 has now reopened.
Police are advising that there will still be some delays as the traffic clears.
