"Fire crews confirmed one lorry leaking diesel fuel from its fuel tank which has been accidentally ruptured," said Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service in a statement.

"Crews stemmed the flow of diesel using a hardening paste and left the incident in the hands of mechanics, who drained the fuel tank and arranged recovery of the vehicle.
