Looking for love: The Witch of Wookey Hole Caves hunts for dream man

Living in a cave and working unsociable hours is not the best recipe for finding love, as one lonely singleton is finding out.

The Witch of Wookey Hole Caves is on the hunt for man, wizard or warlock and she will stop at nothing to get him.

The witch, who lives deep within the caves in Somerset, said: “Hallowe'en is coming up and it’s a really big celebration for us witches. The witching hour is our favourite time of year where we all go out and have a good time, but I’ve got no one to take.

“When all the visitors leave at night the caves are a very lonely place. I don’t want to be rattling around here on my own anymore; I’d really like a partner in crime.

"My previous boyfriend Merlin was ok but he was just too goody-goody; I want someone a bit more rough around the edges. My ideal man would be someone like Voldermort, but a bit less evil.

“I’ve been looking on dating websites and I’ve even written my own lonely hearts advert but nobody has cast a spell on me so far. If this appeal doesn’t work I’m going to have to resort to making a love potion.”
