London heroes and royalty set to ride at Aldon
OLYMPIC medallists and royalty are expected to be amongst the field competing in this weekend's Aldon 1 Horse Trials near Yeovil.
The event from 15-17 March at Aldon Park and Yeovil Showground takes place on the third weekend of the eventing season with entrants attracted by the well-draining sandy soil ahead of Badminton.

Four of Team Great Britain's London 2012 silver medallists are on course to be involved. William Fox Pitt has entries with his younger horses tomorrow, whilst Zara Phillips - daughter of the Princess Royal - has three entered on Sunday.
Kristina Cook has entries on both Saturday and Sunday, whilst Mary King MBE has six across the three days, as does daughter Emily.

Amongst King's six rides is Imperial Cavalier, on whom she was the highest placed GB individual at the Olympics in fifth. He goes in the Advanced Intermediate Section U on Sunday.
New Zealand team bronze medallist in the summer Andrew Nicholson has ten entries, including Quimbo who won the Blenheim eight- or nine-year-old CIC*** last September.
Australian riders Lucinda Fredericks and Paul Tapner join Badminton winner Pippa Funnell and hot tip Izzy Taylor.
Proceeds from the event go to the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, the Royal National Lifeboat Institute, St Margaret's Hospice and other local charities.
