Local lads Landscapes making friends in high places ...
The last time Your Time spoke with Frome-based hardcore punks Landscapes, featuring Nick Willcox (bass), Jordi Urch (drums), Shauny Milton (vocals), Kai Sheldon (guitar) and Martin Hutton (guitar), the band had just visited the BBC Maida Vale Studios to record their Radio One Rock Show live session.
We caught up with frontman Shauny to find out what's happened since and to look ahead to this week's FFAF support slot:
Your Time: Firstly, were you happy with the Radio One Session?
Shauny: It sounded ok! I'm critical as hell about hearing stuff like that back. I was rolling around on the floor begging myself to just stop talking in some parts haha. I hated how I sounded in the interview let alone how gruff I sounded over the actual songs but musically I think the boys did really well and we all feel like we accomplished and learned a lot from that experience.

Since the Session you've been featured in Metal Hammer, Kerrang! and Front magazine. Has there been a positive reaction to this exposure?
It's all been amazingly good feedback, maybe a bit more than we all expected. I don't think it's an impossible task to have happen though when you have the right people working with you.
I have to thank Hayley Connelly and Leander Gloversmith for those nice little features we've had recently. It was all in aid of helping push us ready for our UK tour with Hildamay.
How did the full UK tour with Hildamay go?
It's always great to be playing live, but the UK is a tough crowd to please. We enjoyed the shows for sure and once again we learned a lot from it.
Talking of live shows, there is a rare opportunity to see you on "home turf" when you support FFAF at Bath's Komedia. Are you looking forward to what is probably your biggest show ever in the south west?
I'm really looking forward to it, it's gunna be great to see a whole bunch of old friends who are planning on coming along and I'm looking forward to seeing Brotherhood Of A Lake too. Of course we're all looking forward to finally meeting Funeral For A Friend as well... goes without saying.
I was a huge fan of Casually Dressed In Deep Conversation and have followed them ever since, it's been a mental shock to have a band like that interested in having us join them on a bill. Mind blowing.
You've seen what Matt from FFAF said to us about Landscapes, how does that make you feel?
Speechless. It's crazy to even think that something we put together got picked up and listened to by a band I used to go mad to when I was younger let alone for them to actually be into what we are doing.
I really appreciate everything Matt and the rest of the guys have done for us in terms of spreading the word and saying flattering comments such as the ones above. We don't see ourselves as a band that are backed by many so when we support from such a powerful magnitude of a band it's pretty special to us.
So 2012 has been yet another spectacular year for Landscapes. How do you feel when you look back on the year?
Proud in some ways, don't get me wrong, it's amazing, but there is always the next corner to think about, until you get off that bike, you still have to ride it so there isn't much time to reflect when you still have goals set in your head.
And for 2013 ...
We join The Ghost Inside and Stray From The Path on the Rocksound/ Impericon tour, which is something we're stupidly excited about. Being an opening act to those incredible bands means there is some big boots to fill. I've heard they are all really nice guys though so I am mostly looking forward to meeting them and learning from another bands perspective and outlook on the music scene as it stands.
There's also lot of talk and a fair amount going on regarding other tours, festivals and recordings but, for now, my lips remain sealed ...
