Litter louts make amends by tidying outside McDonalds
Three teenage boys were made to pick up litter in Portishead to make amends for behaving anti-socially in the town.
The litter pick follows a series of incidents between Christmas and New Year at McDonald’s in Wyndham Way where youngsters were intimidating customers and shouting and swearing at staff.

The incidents were captured on CCTV and the three boys, aged 13 and 14, agreed to tidy up the McDonald’s car park as part of a Restorative Justice Scheme. All have been banned from McDonald’s.
Portishead PC Jock Cameron said: “The boys attended the local police station, wrote a letter of apology, and hand delivered this to the manager of McDonald’s. They have shown real remorse for their actions.
“The boys have learned a valuable lesson and I am pleased to say this was a positive outcome for everyone involved.”
