Lib Dems will not support mansion tax bid, indicates Yeovil MP David Laws
Liberal Democrats will not support a Labour bid to introduce a mansion tax, Yeovil MP David Laws has indicated.
The Schools Minister said coalition parties could not go “flouncing off” every time the opposition put down “opportunistic” motions.

Labour has challenged Nick Clegg’s party to break coalition ranks by supporting the tax – a much cherished Lib Dem policy – in a Commons vote next week.
Mr Laws told Murnaghan on Sky News: ““You can’t pick and choose. We have to agree these things in an adult way.”
