Let's not forget St George
Here we are, living in the county that many regard as the birthplace of England and yet there still seem to be many here who are prepared to celebrate any nationality or culture other than our own.
This year a charity shop in Cheddar put on a window display of all things Irish for St Patrick's Day, but last Thursday their window was devoid of any sign that it was St George's Day. Indeed, to add insult to injury, in the window was a vase of daffodils, the national flower of Wales.
