A CLEVEDON teenager who attended an open evening at Weston College got more than he bargained for - winning a brand new laptop.

Chris Merrick was presented with the Sony Vaio laptop after being picked out from a prize draw when he went along to Weston College to find out more about the courses available. The 16-year-old former Nailsea School pupil said: "I was surprised to win but very pleased.

"This laptop will definitely be useful in my studies, especially when I pursue my career in zoology. I'm really pleased I attended the open evening."
