Landlords put on alert after Wells pub break-ins
Publicans in Wells and the surrounding area are being warned to be extra vigilant amid fears they are being targeted by thieves.
In the last week two pubs have been broken into and the police are now appealing for witnesses.

At around 4.45am on January 27 an unknown number of people used a chair from the beer garden of the Full Moon pub, on Southover, Wells, to get in through the toilet window.
Before anything could be taken the alarm sounded and the thieves smashed a window to make their escape.

This followed a break-in at the Pound Inn, Coxley, which happened overnight on January 23 and 24.
The pub's kitchen door was forced and the thieves made their way into an office area where they stole cash and jewelry.
A pair of earrings was among the items stolen which the owners are particularly keen to recover.
Wells police have arrested a 17-year-old in connection with the increase in graffiti around the city since Christmas.
Doors, walls and road signs in locations as widespread as Portway and Nightingale Close had been targeted with pink paint, often with the words "King Prawn".
The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been released on police bail while investigations continue.
