Lager and wine theft denied
A Shepton Mallet man who allegedly stole alcohol from a shop and then repeated the offence two days later has been ordered to stand trial.
Paul Gary Sheehan, 47, of Potters House, pleaded not guilty to stealing four cans of Carlsberg lager worth £8.80 from a Co-op store in Shepton Mallet on August 17.
He also denied an identical offence where a bottle of wine worth £5.49 was taken from the same shop on August 19, when he appeared before South Somerset Magistrates.
A pre-trial review was conducted and the case was adjourned until January 29, when the trial will take place.
