Stage Write presents Lucky Dip on Thursday, April 1 at 7.30pm in the Merlin Theatre Foyer.

Stage Write is a local writing collective who've been causing a stir with their innovative writings, readings, and performances since emerging last year with their first staged presentation: 7 Ages of Shoes.

The event, which took place in the Merlin foyer last October, was a sell-out success.

Now the team is returning to the Merlin with another evening of short monologues by local writers – this time inspired by dipping into the bran tub of life's memories and longings to ask: does luck really exist – or do we all make our own luck?

Twelve writers with very varied styles will entertain listeners with their stories – funny, romantic, poignant, often surprising – always authentic and thought-provoking, whether drawn from memory or wild imagination.

The evening's performance is directed by Crysse Morrison and Niamh Ferguson.
