Kill badgers and kill tourism
THE culling of badgers is not the answer to the bovine tuberculosis problem in cattle.
What can we do to register our protests at this inhumane cull?
Well, I shall never again vote for a councillor or MP who would rather kill than look at the vaccination of badgers. I will never again buy local Somerset cheese, milk, eggs or meat. I will never visit Exmoor again, a place I love, but my money will never boost the tourist trade in that area.
If enough people followed my example, then it would hit pockets and profits, and we might see a mass programme of vaccination.
I fear that we will only see badgers in country parks and the zoo if we allow our largest mammal to be wiped out.
