Go-Ride days will also be held at the Castle Sports Centre in Wellington Road in Taunton and the the indoor velodrome at Newport.
Somerset Leisure staff have had cycling and safety training in preparation for the course at the Castle Sports Centre. It is expected that the scheme will be extended to other Somerset County Council run leisure centres.
Dan Coast of British Cycling has been working on the scheme with the leisure team. He believes that it is important that local authorities invest in the future of cycling: "Team GB was successful at the Olympics because public authorities such as Manchester City Council made a massive investment in cycling facilities. Go-Ride will kick-start an interest in the sport locally and help nurture local talent."
Councillor Justin Robinson, in charge of health for Somerset, said: "The Go-Ride project is one of many the leisure team is pioneering and which the new leisure trust will be able to build on and improve. This is great news for the county's youngsters and may help support future cycling champions."
The scheme takes place from Monday until Thursday, April 9.
